For context I run a small club on the Isle of Skye and have been training on and off since 1999 or something like that. 99% MMA and no gi.
The club has been running since the end of April this year, and nobody had any prior experience... Just big highland lads.
At MMA sparring this week one of my students caught me during a takedown, sprawled me down into turtle and worked his way into a choke.
No excuses from me, he got me fair and square.
As a coach I am so proud.
