Does anyone know how long the approval process takes when registering an academy with IBJJF? I know the association also has to approve.
I'm hoping to be able to switch my membership to my own academy in time for the Toronto Open.

It shouldn't take too long, after jumping through all the hoops.
You don't have to get approved by any association, assuming you aren't registering with one.
