What's going on Jiu Jitsu fam! Your boy Mr. heel Hook reaching out wanting to know if anyone else has extra services offered at there academy (Chiropractic, Cupping, Ice Plunge Tub, Scraping, etc.)? Right now I have a woman coming in once a week that does cupping and scraping. Seems to be a pretty big hit! She charges $13 a person for both cupping and scraping and they pay her directly. Interested to hear if other academies offer stuff like this?

We don’t offer anything like that, but I’ve been to academies that have coffee carts, açaí/snacks, juice bars Etc. As far as those health services go, it’s usually done by a person that trains there who has expertise in Chiro, sports med, cupping, etc. For example, at my academy, I’m an RN, so I drain peoples ears all the time, and I generally keep a kit with me for that. I’ve given IV’s to a couple people that train a lot and need rehydration as well. I don’t charge for my services typically, but if I do it’s just to cover supply costs. I also sew the patches on gis because I have a machine at home. In other words, we just kind of help each other out and trade services.
