If I am approved for my 3rd degree on my black belt by belt checker, will IBJJF recognize/allow me to sign off on my students to compete in IBJJF?

Some would say that nower days greenpeace developed from a non profit-organization with noble goals to a different kind of mafia, following main parts of eco-industry grown up to a big global player.😔

I follow you on the Middle Earth part, i'm pretty sure also that some people here should have hobbit foot due to leglock or skin infection.

Unless it's changed, last I heard it's 2nd degree IBJJF, 3rd otherwise. I am in that situation as well. Didn't register with them until I got my Black Belt and am provisional for two years. And then they will recognize me as only a black belt (no stripes). But, if my coach puts them on my belt, I could care less.
And it's 40$ USD per year to register people. Let's not get carried away. If you don't care about their certificates, you aren't obliged to ge them. That is where the big costs are.
If you no longer have a coach (i.e. a split for some reason) well, it might be beneficial for your club. Or not. But if you have students who want to compete at their tournaments, one of your coaches needs to be registered.
