I'm curious to know if there's anyone out there competing under the Globetrotters Banner? In non IBJJF events?

This is the data on smoothcomp. I'm actually a little surprised the numbers are so low.

Now, How much of that list is before getting booted from the IBJJF and how many off that list is competing after? That’s what I was getting at. I probably should’ve mentioned that. Lol.

So, as I understand it, you're trying to figure out how many academies wound up affiliating with globetrotters after they were banned, as an affiliation, from ibjjf?
I think it would be hard to establish that event (ibjjf's banning of globetrotters) as the exclusive mode of causality in the various gyms' decisions regarding with whom they affiliate.
Some other factors to consider:
1) The sheer number of bjj schools has grown exponentially since the April 2020 ban on globetrotters. Therefore, there are more opportunities for these new academies to be influenced by my second point...
2) globetrotters is a moderately-sized machine, and their reach extends beyond the scope of traditional affiliations, into anything from training camps, merchandise, social media networking, etc.
Therefore, it's difficult to say exactly how many schools decided to affiliate with globetrotters based solely on the fact that they've been banned from ibjjf, long-story-short.

Not how many affiliated post ban. Basically, I curious to know or have an idea as to who’s competing in non IBJJF tournaments post IBJJF Ban. Has the number of competitors flying the Globetrotters Banner gone up or gone down in non IBJJF tournaments post ban. I used to see some competing under the Globetrotters down here in the south west. I haven’t seen anyone compete under the Globetrotters banner in a hot minute. Wondering if others are seeing the same or is it just the southwest we’re not seeing anyone competing under the Globetrotters.

I think that when Globetrotters started 12 years ago, there was a much bigger need for small academies and training groups to have an affiliation for competitions. There were fewer black belts around and fewer affiliations available. And those who were available often came with a lot of commitments.
Things are different now; Jiu Jitsu is available everywhere, and there's no longer the same need for signing your training group up for an affiliation in order for you to compete or get promoted. There are probably hundreds of thousands of black belts, and anyone with an internet connection, a small mat space, and some friends can learn and become proficient in the sport. You can now compete every single week without ever running into the requirement of having an affiliation.
So I am definitely sure that there are fewer people competing for BJJ Globetrotters these days. Ten years ago it was almost unthinkable to have a club without an affiliation. Today, I don't think people care as much. And maybe we even played a tiny part in changing the culture of Jiu Jitsu towards that, making ourselves less relevant as an affiliation.
Kind of a beautiful thing, actually 🙂

There are a handful of gyms in my region (Southeast) who I see affiliated with Globetrotters. Just a handful though.
Sometimes we'll affiliate with the globetrotters in smaller competitions who award first-place for affiliations, so we're more likely to get more points and maybe beat the big box affiliations. Lol.
I will say that in my observations in the 7yrs we've been open, that I've seen way more independent gyms/groups, or newer, smaller affiliations pop up all over the place. We used to be the only unaffiliated gym, but it's becoming more common these days.
