I changed it, but I'm pretty annoyed by it. My photo was just me and you could clearly see my face, but I guess I was turned a little too far to the side? It was fine for well over a year - I have many people who know me personally who have verified my rank and presumably could tell the person in my photo was actually me. What are we doing here? You can verify who is in the photo... Why after so long did a mod suddenly decide my profile picture wasn't clear?

The moderators have to approve a lot of pictures and sometimes one of them can slip past the requirements. If a moderator later stumbles over the profile, they might deverify the image.
Rules for profile picture is that the face must be clearly visible, not too small and not turned to the side.
