Hi everyone!
Not sure if its allowed but...Been trying to finish my profile for a week and my profile photo keeps getting rejected even though it is ONLY me in the photo.
Can anyone help a dolt like me out on this?

You’re supposed to upload a selfie holding a note with some specific text on it but you’re just uploading another picture of yourself. Read the instructions on the verification page before you upload :)

Hey Christian! I did as such, it just wasn't clear that the profile photo has to be a photo with me holding up the beltchecker ID info. Thought it could be us in the gym or on the mats.

The profile picture can be any picture of you that you like of course, as long as you’re alone and your face is clearly visible. The verification picture is the one that must have the note :)

Think about it, if uploading two random pictures of yourself was proving your identity then you could just grab two pictures from someone’s Facebook profile and fake their identity here :)

True...but you also have my DL on file, and the site apparently won't take my profile photo if its taken off my phone, so that is also frustrating.

Also Christian, I just tried to upload a photo not taken from my phone (apparently samsungs have issues on this site, weird) and it still is "empty" even though the photo was taken by a professional photographer at a pro grappling event. Definitely looking for some assistance.

Does DL mean drivers license? When we approve profile pictures, we can’t remember what photos were on a drivers license uploaded to verify names, these are separate verifications and there are several moderators involved. Not to mention almost 10,000 users now :)
Try another image file if the one you uploaded turned out black :)

I've tried uploading FOUR different photos. Two were professionally taken (real camera, not a phone) and every single time, my photo comes up blacked out.

Finally got a photo to work. Sixth try from a second source. Great googly moogly!

Approved! :)
Already gave him my vote. Jay Pages confirmed promoting him to purple belt.

Yeah I can't really put a finger on why some pictures come up black. I'm using all standard server handling of images. Oh well, it's on the pile of things to look into and we'll fix it one day, sooner or later :)
