Front desk interface now added, so you can use a tablet or similar where people can check themselves in for classes. Find it under 'manage academy' :)
Hi ! Really nice features on this administrating academy platform, thank you !
When managing the attendance, it could be usefull to add a “new member” button for those who have just started BJJ and have not been yet registered on Beltchecker.com. Anonymously if necessary. This feature could also make the attendance statistic even more correct.

No sorry I don't think it's a good idea to register people who are not registered, for all sorts of reasons :) They should eventually just go create a profile themselves, it takes less than a minute. It's also important since they have to agree to terms & conditions, whether they want email updates etc.

If you want, you could register an "John Doe" profile yourself and make it member of your academy. But I don't think it should be a general feature :)

I was not thinking about registrating anybody at this point ! Just a button that could add the right number of people who are training together in order to have the attendance statistics correct...

Right ok I understand. But I don't think it's going to work from a technical point of view, I'm afraid :-/

What could be a helpful report in the future is if the administrator can run a report for contact tracing.
I know that at least in Western Europe academies are slowly opening up, but contact tracing is very important if someone has Covid-19.
I would be cool if the academy can run a report on a student that has corona and select the date period to show who the student was in classes with.
It can by used internally to share if there in an infection in the academie so that students know they need testing and in some countries a corona patient needs to provide a list of people they were in contact with and this way the academy can help with that.

It also shows the academy is in control of his administration and can show a fancy overview in minutes :)
It should only be a reoprt feature available for the admin or coaches I believe.

You could already just go into the training history log and see who trained in all classes. Would have to manually filter a bit.

Perhaps we can build this, if it's not too complicated :)

What I see in my academy now is that due to Corona lessons are opening up. First on Strength and Conditioning, but soon probably also BJJ contact lessons.
These lessons are limited though to 10 students max. at the moment and people can reserve a spot via Whatsapp.

I expect setting a maximum the size of lessons might be thing that stays a while. So what would be a cool new feature is that an academy can set up the lessons on beltchecker with the maximum and students can reserve a spot for that lesson. The actual attendance logic where a student confirms he attended the lessons stays.
This would also help to see who reserves but doesn't actually attend ,etc.

This is probably a more difficult feature to build, but I think it might also friendly push academies to using this platform including all members who want to train and must reserve.

(I moved this from a different topic since it seems more appropriate here. :) )

It's not a bad idea, but honestly I think it would be too low on our priority list right now compared to how much work it would take + how many people would use it. We have limited time to work on the site and are doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes these days that will benefit all users, so I'm gonna have to shoot down that idea, sorry :)

Okay, good to know. I hope we can go back to no maximum on lessons and being able to walk in, but I think it won't happen soon

Would be a great idea for seminars or privates for some users/gyms.
Could be for people confirmed as coaches only or something of the like. Just a thought, I see you said no previously but this is a slightly different angle... Slightly.

I find facebook events has this sort of thing covered pretty well
That's what I used for scheduling classes during covid phase 2 when we could only have 20 members per class
I was able to schedule classes and put a limit on attendees quite easily

Speaking of facebook... Is there a check in feature for people with BC profiles who attend classes at gyms they visit on the travels... Surely Mr Globetrotter has thought of that ;)

There is not, they would have to just log a manual class instead. Academy attendance logging and statistics only members or it will be a bit of a technical nightmare otherwise :)

Really nice to see some academies starting to use this! I am also logging all training for my own group as well, so far works pretty good.
