I am currently getting ALL kinds of updates from Beltchecker as email. Are there settings to change that? I'd still like to get important messages BUT I don't want emails about votes and specifically not for forum topics... But I would like them as Beltchecker notifications.
Are there plans to do this? Do I need to unsubscribe from everything?

For now, all email notifications are under one setting (edit profile -> settings). You can turn them all off there. Alternatively, you can just unsubscribe to the forum topics you don't want to get emails about.
During this week (hopefully), the notification settings will be expanded so you can be a bit more selective about what kind of them you want to receive where :)
