Guys

I have a student who trained for 5 years in the junior category. Then took a long time off from Jiu-Jitsu and started as white belt adult, but had a form of prior knowledge going in as a white belt.

How does one update their promotion history not to factor in the long break?

I don't think there's anything wrong with just using the "junior" start date as their official start date. If you wanted to mention the long break, you could do it in the "comments" section.
