But i only fixed some spelling in my press and now i need to verify again?
That is correct. The system only compares the characters. It can not tell if if's correction of a spelling error or it's a different name, this is not Skynet :D

Re-verification takes usually less than an hour.

Hello there, I recently added two stripes to my purple belt (because I got both on the same day) and I got completely de-verified. According to the FAQ nothing should have happened. Could someone help me out on this? Is it a technical error or is it supposed to be this way?

You must have changed something else, it is impossible for the system to reset your votes if you just added stripes. Regardless, anyone who voted for you will be notified that they must reconfirm it, so you’ll be back up and running in no time :)

Ok, maybe I just pushed too hard with my fatty fingers on my phone :D - but the same happened to my coach who got three stripes that day. Perhaps we both changed something else but I thought it might be a technical issue and I just wanted to report it. Thanks nonetheless for the quick reply!

I just updated my description and it caused for my profile to need to be verified once again. I'm not too concerned, as it'll be verified soon, just want to send whoever manages this so that maybe it doesn't happen to somebody else.

I just updated my black belt to 1st degree and it de-verified me. I have two questions regarding this. Why does this happen after I was already verified as a blackbelt? The system even told me that I could just do it based on time alone? The second question is regarding each belt level under that. I did not add all the pictures that I had when I was filling those out and I wasn't sure if I should put the name of the person who gave me the belt at the ceremony or the actual professor that I trained under on a daily basis. I wonder if I can go back and correct those things and add more pictures...especially of my black belt promotion on the podium at the Houston Open??

I think Christian or the Webmaster can give a better answer to the first question, but yes, adding a BB degree with a promoter requires rank re-verification. Basically otherwise folk could just put in that they've gotten a degree from whoever, and none of the people who have voted for them wouldn't even be notified.

To the second:
- you should put the name of the person who gave you the belt at the ceremony in "Promoted by". (You can add a Comment about your day-to-day instructor if you want to.)
- you can add/change photos (and location) for promotions and it doesn't trigger re-verification. So yeah, you can go back and correct the previous belt promotion details without (temporarily) losing verification points. However, changing the promotion date or the promoter name for past belts triggers re-verification. This is all in the FAQ as well.

But don't worry, you should get your verified rank status back soon enough, since "everyone will automatically receive a notification and a link to re-confirm their vote once they have a chance to look through your updated promotion history." :)

Okay thanks for the info. It's kind of frustrating to wait again like I did the first time. I even noticed that most of the people who verified me the first time have not done it again. About the promotions I must bd doing something wrong because when I try to go and update my promotions it only goes to the black belt. Maybe I can get some help from the webmaster.

Probably those people just haven't been back online here yet.

When updating Promotion history, there should be a dropdown menu at the very top, from which you can access all the belts.

Currently if belt update = losing verification, these people DON'T go into the "Completed, unverified profiles" pool but SHOULD IMO.

Edit: ISSUE RESOLVED, MY BAD

They should for sure be listed there. Can you give me an example of a completed, unverified profile that's not?

He was a verified blue belt. Got purple, is not listed.

EDIT: MY BAD CHRISTIAN, you have added the YOU DID NOT VOTE FOR -YET- feature :D

Apologies, it was not a feature a while ago.

I'm trying to delete my yellow belt listing as it was a judo promotion rather than a BJJ promotion. But when I uncheck the listing, I have no option to save. Plus each time I went in to change it , I lost all my verification votes. Is there any way to delete the listing, and can it be done without requiring black belt verification all over again?
