Hey all
I am a crazy boot guy.
I've collected them for some years.
Started with Dr. Martens and then Solovair boots.
After a while I started getting into heritage boots. (Goodyear Welted and Stitchdown constructions)
I began with Thursday Boots and since I've picked up Redwing Iron Rangers, Canada West, Nicks Handmade, Urban Shepherds, Bordon Boots and recently ordered a pair of Whites MP Shermans.
Lets hear it if you have some quality Heritage Boots in your collection.

I have doc from when I was 20 from England that my son still wears. Those suckers can last a long time, the colored ones scuff, but black stays black for ever...
After moving from Chicago to Atlanta Ive turned into a flip flop guy mostly LOL

I still love my Docs.
Most of mine are Made in England as well.
My only issue with Docs is that they no longer use a shank in them which basically makes them more like a sneaker than a proper boot. Solovair Boots still use a wooden shank in them. They are the former Doc makers and lost the rights when Dr Martens moved most of their production to Asia. Docs have gone down in quality since then.
Most good heritage boots have way better leather that last a lifetime.
I have a pair of Truman boots that will outlive me.

Nicks Handmade Boots can make any size and width. Their size and width selection is vast and unlike mainstream boot makers.
It's all made to order. The wait period is about 18-20 weeks though.
Mine took about 6 months to arrive.
Also, JK Boots and Franks Boots.
Basically any Pacific Northwest boot maker can make your size and width.
They supply all the loggers and fire jumpers with their custom made boots and I am sure they have a bunch of humongous people getting their Sasquatch size boots made. You should take a look.

Possibly.
I am accustom to wearing 1 pair of shoes for about 3 years and 1 pair of dress shoes if someone dies. That's it.

Have a look at Hans Wagner (Hanwag) and Lothar Wagner (Lowa) boots.
I use the Hanwag Alaska GTX and and Lowa Tibet GTX.
My third pair of combat boots are Haix „black eagle“.
-But I am not sure, we are talking about the same enthusiasm….🤔
It is more a need in my case (started during my time in the armed forces and is actually defined by outdoor action like hunting).😝

I was in the Armed Forces and my favourite combat boots were climber boots. (for aerial cable maintenance)
I am not a fan of sneaker looking boots.
My last pair of boots before seperating from the military were that style because they transitioned into those boots a few years earlier. They were comfortable but not my favourite.

These things are immaculate.
I have a pair of these in black chromexcel on a half sole coming in about 5 months.
Takes that long to get them unfortunately.
