The injury was´t that weird but the feeling was extremly weird. As a whitebelt i fought open class against a very unsportsmanlike guy ( way more heavy) that didnt give me the chance to tap in time by an omoplata. He hit the submisson with momentum and my shoulder ligaments snapped and my shoulder joint socket was torn off. That caused my arm going down in front of my face but with the thumb on the "wrong" side of my hand. Because i had no pain in that moment (adrenaline), i needed a few seconds to realize that its actually my own arm that i was seeing infront of me on the ground. He got banned for that behaviour and i had a surgery twice to get it fixed.

As a white belt drilling guard passes with my brother, he was passing my guard, sinking down to establish side control and as he comes down my thumb had gotten caught in the skirt of his gi so it twisted almost 180° and then folded down to my wrist from his weight coming down… loooooots of tape and probably like a year later it was semi-functioning as normal again… good times

Weirdest in training was tearing a ligament in my finger using an x choke with an overhook in the gi.
Non training injuries the weirdest were getting windburn on my eyeball indoor sky diving and spraining my ankle from slipping on a banana peel (two separate incidents)
