So basically he just said come back in 6 weeks if it's not any better lol.

And that it's at least a MCL sprain and can't tell anything else without MRI.

Only good news is he thought my ACL is ok so as long as that's true probably wouldn't need surgery anyways.

I don't have insurance and don't want to pay a thousand bucks if I'm not going to need surgery. Cartilage and meniscus may have took some damage also but I'll worry with that later if the ACL is fine. Once that goes I'll get everything fixed lol.

Just sucks my right knee was my "good" knee.

Ouch. Just FYI, not all ACL tears result in excruciating pain. I cried like a baby both times I tore both my knees as these were ruptures where the meniscus was also ripped apart, but have a friend who had a complete ACL tear that was painless. She just felt a pop.
Accurate. Partial tears tend to be more painful than complete tears that’s not to say that’s complete tear will always be pain free. I had a complete pec major tendon rupture that felt more or less like a muscle cramp.

Maybe it was a good thing it was painful then lol

I'm just curious what the pop was.

The pop could be a partial tear. Think about a rope fraying.

Hopefully you and no real damage.. I would probably push for the MRI that way decisions moving forward are more educated..

Remember pain is our bodies way of telling us to go easy on something
