Has anyone here tried to dye one of your gis? I’m wanting to take some of my white gis and dye them a deep black.

Yes. I've dyed several of my gis over the years. Here's the guide I used: https://georgetteoden.blo[...]i.html?m=1

1. Thank you for the advice. I saw this article when I was searching on google, but it’s helpful to hear you’ve also tried it.
2. I wish I would have known about this even before now! It looks amazing, and I love that gym and the grounds! So cool. This definitely deserves more attention.

I dyed one of my white gi’s purple for epilepsy awareness last year.
I used Rit Color dye and it worked like a charm. Took maybe an hour give
Or take.

I have one white gi where the attempt was to dye it black. It came out like a silver/gray. I actually really like it.

Yep, over 40. I like colour.
It's super easy, if you just want a bit of colour. Put your gi in the washing machine. Add Dylon dye on top of it. Run a cycle, without detergent. Run again with detergent. Done. :D

I did exactly the same as Slideyfoot using one of the dylon pods. Worked great.

Dylon works well and is easy to use.

Another vote for Dylon. My bright orange one has been years and still vibrant as ever. Note, if the trousers are a different material (i.e. ripstop it will go a different shade)
