My wife is a breast cancer survivor (and a BJJ blue belt). We think your belt is awesome!

Although I would like to say, that I will be raising funds and awareness of breast cancer this October,
While I am not a fan of cancer, and human diseases, especially the potentially terminal ones.....
I must say, in practice, in my house, in this early October, there is a sudden interest in German food, and German Beer, in the adults.
And a strange, almost manic obsession of most if not all of the females in my house, and the neighboring houses, to buy and make Pumpkin spiced coffees, pies, pastries, and cookies.
And then a fall into Halloween, where people in the U.S., put on strange costumes, and beg for candy,
While other sadistic adults who are not particularly concerned with legal torts, or who are particularly well insured,
Get out their hoses, and spray any Halloween would be vandals down.
In any case, I shall suggest to my household, that we shall and should also protest against breast cancer,
I think this year, we are just stuffing our faces with pig knuckles, cabbage, spetzal, dark beers, and then putting on costumes, scaring children, and handing out candies known to cause teeth rot, and diabetes.

I am very happy to hear that (the survivor part, not the cancer). This month is always important to me. While all forms of cancer are awful, breast cancer is close to my heart. I've lost my aunt and cousin to the disease. I have multiple friends that I have literally known my entire life, whom have needed double mastectomies to save their lives. I have a colleague who, and there's no easy way to say it, will die soon. I have other relatives and friends who have found lumps, and although benign, suffered mentally worrying. I have a wife, a daughter, a sister, and nieces that I love and worry about.

Every October I wear either a pink gi, pink rash guard, or this belt now (I had a pink one but I've misplaced it). I offer privates, jiu jitsu chats, competition advice, etc in exchange for a donation. I raise money all month at the academy and work, and then I make two donations at the end of the month to the Canadian Cancer Society. One in the name of our academy, and the second in the name of my colleague.
