When you vote someone and that someone gets promoted in the future, you will receive a message about it. You can instantly review that persons promotion details and if you're happy you can confirm their new belt. Let's say a brown belt gets just their 700 points when verified. And lets say those points came from seven black belts (7 x 100 points). Two of those black belts quit beltchecker and four of them dies (God forbid). Now only one person receives a notification that black belt has been received. If that one black belt confirms your new belt you only have 100/1000 points. Now lets say that same brown belt received 10000/700 points. When he gets promoted to to black belt there are far more potential people to verify you.

First of all I want to thank everyone for the amazing support and encouragement. I’m new to the community and felt at home right away. Still learning the ropes and trying to understand a few things. I’ve seen many of you with incredible profiles and votes that to go up to dozen of thousands of verification points. Soon after being verified and sending thank you notes , I started returning the favor and looked for people with supported profiles that needed points to get certified. But then I received a reply to my thank you message stating I could also return the favor by upvoting people who gave me points. I checked and all the profiles obviously checked for legitimacy, and did my thing. But I wondered, why would someone with 24k points would need my 2 cents? And how did they get up there? When you get a new rank doesn’t the score reset? Your guidance is greatly appreciated , thank you and safe trainings
