Is there anyone one of you fine, outstanding global citizens that can read Kanji? If I upload a pic here can you tell me what it says? Full disclosure, I am thinking about a tattoo, but I'm not 100% sure what the Kanji translates to. I've asked A.I., but, ya know. I don't to be walking around thinking it says something when really it says, "I put pickles in my anus"...

I think that particular line translates as「肛門にお新香を入れる」:)
I’m happy to take a look, but I’m not a native speaker. I studied Japanese at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and I did foreign study in Japan, but that does not make me an expert.

It's supposed to be Gentle Art, but I've seen a bunch similar and different that are supposed to say the same thing. lol

As David says, that tattoo says 柔術 jūjutsu (“Jiu-Jitsu”), which can be translated as “gentle art” (though 柔 jū can also mean “yielding strength” or “suppleness”). If you ever need a good, free, online Japanese-English dictionary, try https://jisho.org/. I use it in conjunction with my Midori app when I’m translating Japanese sources. It beats flipping through Nelson’s dictionary (which is what got me through grad school along with a Canon Word Tank denshi jisho).

When I first read this I thought you were worried that it would translate to pickle instead of potato.
