Initially started training under Jamie Miller in San Antonio in 2004. Was promoted to brown belt by Dave Phillips in 2011. Then switched to train with Rodrigo Pinheiro as a brown belt in 2011. Received my black belt under Rodrigo in 2016. 90 days later I had to go through a surgical fusion in my neck. I had a car accident the week prior to neck surgery that injured my lower back. Fast forward 7yrs and had my lower back fixed with a disc replacement. I am back on the mats with Piet Wilhelm at Triton Fight Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I received my first two stripes on my black belt.
