"As I wrote on my previous up vote: "Appreciate you not adding the 1:st stripe degree in your Beltchecker promotion history until the three years have formally passed. Add it on dec 6:th and I'll give you an upvote for that degree too!". Dec 6:th has passed, but as the stripe is dated only 2½ years after the initial BB promotion, I unfortunately have to down vote this time. Change date to dec 6:th 2023 or later and I'll reverse my vote."
Why is that? If a professor, Roger Gracie in this case, decided to give him a stripe, what is the point of a down vote? Even if going by ibjjf rules and regulations, someone who trains twice a week is not the same as some who trains 5 times a week. 3 years for one are not the same 3 years for another. A down vote is uncalled for.

Itay, no, IBJJF makes no difference there, if that's what we use as a comparative standard. There's an opening with IBJJF that you can jump slightly quicker through the colored belts if you win your belt division at the world championships, but three years (paying) is three years from black belt onwards. Not 2½ years. Can you point to even a single world champion in BJJ who recently advanced in the BB degrees half a year ahead of time?

Must have been more than half a year ago that I made my stance on that known to Richard about early degrees, but complimenting him on posting the stripe pic but only entering the 0:th degree in the Beltchecker promotion history. If you want to show that someone (including Roger) put the stripe on you ahead of time but want to have only up votes (even by those voting based on the widespread standards), that is the safe way to do it.

"The first degrre is now within standards so warrants an upvote"
"Looks Legit To Me! "

"I'm going to up vote your profile based on being a Roger Gracie blackbelt, a little advice add pictures of you at other belt colors to make it easier for others to vote for you. Not having pictures tends to turn people away."

"Great supporting pic's and history. "
"Legit, known black belt in the UK. "
"More than enough proof"
