ARReally??? Look at the pic for his blue promotion and then his black promotion. Clearly a stripe has come off.

JIt's not the same BB promoting on blue belt and on black belt, according to the promotion history. It doesn't look like the same person or the same belt on the pics either.

AI'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what degree Brian is. His Black Belt was at the promotion, Leandro Nyza. I also have no idea what degree he is. I do know that I have regular interaction with Brian and not so much with Nyza. So if someone asks me I say that Brian promoted me. If that makes me a fake black belt...all good. I'll still train and enjoy life.

JIf you've gotten a BB from Leandro Nyza, you're a very legit BB, even if you need to ask for evidence supporting it. It is not an uncommon practise with the everyday instructor not formally being the one giving the grade. You're in luck you have a very recent promotion, so you can sort it out with your instructors, if you want your BB generally recognised (you might want to give out your own BB:s in the future for instance). In any case, you still have the skills you have and there is a lot you can do on Beltchecker even if you receive disputes.
