"I did promote him "
"Verified."
"Jason Has Been Training with myself from the very beginning of his jiu-jitsu journey. I consider him a close friend and a great jiu-jitsu practitioner. He is like fine wine the older he gets the better he gets. We have even fought on the same MMA card."
"Good photo evidence"
"I verify Jason's black belt 1st degree rank based on external evidence from Greenville Academy of MMA's Facebook and Tapology listings. Luiz Palhares, a 7th degree coral belt under Rickson Gracie, had authority to promote Jason to black belt in January 2021. James Speight, a 2nd degree black belt, handled prior promotions. Jason's progression from brown in 2016 exceeds IBJJF minimums (3 years for degrees), supported by academy coaching role and training since 2009."
"Good picture evidence, legit. reconfirming vote"
"Long time training partner and friend. I was at his first Jiu-Jitsu class. He’s about as tough as they come. Legit for sure!"
"Lots of high quality photo evidence. Legit!"
"I don't know Jason, but there seems to be enough evidence to verify rank. :)"
"Great profile "
