"Good evidence (newly added) and lineage (which I would recommend adding to your profile: Mitsuyo Maeda > Carlos Gracie > Helio Gracie > Rickson Gracie > Pedro Sauer > Dennis Hayes )."
BRThank you Sir!

"Progression aligns with time-in-belt norms. Total Defense Martial Arts’ website confirms his black belt status and training start under Dennis Hayes in 2009. A 2017 News Leader article identifies him as a purple belt, consistent with his 2015 promotion. Black Belt promoting instructor Dennis Hayes appears to have been at least a 2nd-degree black belt at the time, as Hybrid Martial Arts’ website confirms his 3rd-degree rank under Pedro Sauer, earned after his 2008 black belt. Legit!"
"Trained with Brian a few times through the years and know his instructors well"
