Started training April 2022 under Professor Samual Quito at TRA Jiu Jitsu in Bayonne, NJ. This sport has changed my life in ways I never knew were possible. I began training after leaving an abusive relationship which resulted in my committing self-harm in 2018. 1 year post self-injury I started my Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree and graduated in 2022. I enrolled in BJJ post graduation after considering training for almost 10 years. I had multiple conversations with my friends who do train, and the decision was made to become part of something bigger than myself. I had no idea that I would meet some incredible people who have become close friends. Other activities include: professional and competition skydiving, aerial acrobatics, indoor rock climbing, traveling with my husband, and theme parks
