With the goal of spreading grappling to the world, after four years of MMA at the Kampfsportcenter Minden (Graduations in bjj were not customary back then), with the permission of my Coach Sebastian Schlappa I founded UGT Hannover in 2013 at the sports campus of Leibniz University Hannover to teach basic classes in grappling. Starting with just five participants in the first session, the team has now grown to over 150 members. I am proud of the many strong grapplers in my team who have built a solid reputation for UGT in the Hannover area. Our graduating Blackbelt is Arnoud Terpstra. 🙏🏻
