"Confirmed by coach👌🏻"
"Rob shouldn't have promoted anyone to BB in 2022, if we are following IBJJF equivalent standards, as he did not have 2:nd degree BB (he got his BB in 2019 according to his own profile)."
What if we aren’t following IBJJf standards? That’s your choice . Not everyone agrees or cares about them.

Then going live on Beltchecker will make visible that your degrees are not generally recognized in the BJJ community, even if you might reach the verification treshold with some luck. The IBJJF isn't really popular here, but if Beltchecker is to be regarded as an equally good or better belt registry, I personally believe we should make sure not to have lower standards. But why not have the best of both? If you have preserved relations along the lineage, the ones higher up can put their name on the BB promotions as primary promoting instructor, then the promotions could gain general acceptance if you are transparent in the promotion history. I myself have had my own instructor be the official promoting instructor of some of my students when my own degree haven't been enough. What is there to be afraid of?

We should do a sub only match for degrees and verification or to the death. Betting on myself all day.

Kyle, I did some to-the-death-matches in my youth. Won some, lost some. Now I'm too old for that sh*t ;-P Still open for cuddle rolls though, for those wishing to do some friendly sub only.

"confirmed promotion congrats on the Black"
"Congratulations "
"One of the very few rules that I hold dear, is that only a 2nd degree black belt can promote someone else to black belt. If you have someone that is a 2nd degree black belt (or higher) that would confirm them promoting you to black belt, I will happily revise my vote."
"Everything checks out, wish you'd upload more supporting documentation here though!"
"Not everyone follows IBJJF rules. Confirmed. "
" I personally follow the IBJJF guidelines but it’s not like they’re the ultimate authority. If a good black belt Believes that someone else is a blackbelt. Then that’s all that is required."
The reason this site exists is because of the IBJJF trying to exert their will. Plus in jiujitsu the mats don’t lie.
