Very lucky to get a 1-1 opportunity to learn the mysteries of defensive BJJ from the source. Was amazing!
A blurry whitebelt me - I know this is the Newquay open, which was run by Raphael Dos Santos in Cornwall, but I'm not sure of the year. 2014 maybe.
I don't compete much but here are some very old photos. This is 2015 I think.
Ffion Davies laughing - possibly at me as she had just made mincemeat of me.
Globetrotters Iceland camp, 2022
the little group of students I help coach along with my buddy Josh (who trains nearby at Stealth). Good kids, cheap training for them (basically free!), and we are lucky to be supported by Progress :)
Visiting Ralph Gracie SF, here with Joao Felipe, back in February 2019

Purple belt Current belt
August 22, 2020Darlington, UK, Origin BJJ Darlington
Promoted byDom SzikoraI moved from Plymouth to Darlington in late 2017 having received my fourth stripe from Kenny Baker on 22nd September that year. I trained under Dom with the Origin team until August 2020 and do still try to drop back in and roll when I can. Dom is a 2nd degree black belt under Dave "Speedy" Elliot and Origin is headed up by Marc Walder. Sorry the only picture I have has my head in my hands - I'd been a blue belt for 5.5 years, this was just when gyms were back open after COVID... it was quite an emotional moment for me!

Blue belt
March 12, 2015Plymouth, UK, Flo Martial Arts
Promoted byKenny BakerKenny was a black belt under Braulio Estima (seminar pic also attached - I believe the location was Hybrid MMA Plymouth which was a temporary home for the team before a move to the Flo building)). Kenny is now head coach at Flo Martial Arts Plymouth and is a 3rd degree black belt under Gordo Europe

White belt
December 8, 2012Plymouth, UK, Gracie Barra Plymouth
Started training under Tom Barlow (now of Escapology BJJ Cambridge) and Kenny Baker (now of Flo Martial Arts Plymouth) - Gracie Barra Plymouth is defunct as far as I know.
