Hi, I’m Leroy and I like to overthink things. I run a small Jiu Jitsu school in Haarlem in the Netherlands. I love Jiu Jitsu for the problem solving aspect of it. Allowing someone unathletic such as myself to roll with athletic people and somehow emerge as victorious. I think a lot about what Jiu Jitsu is and how to best teach it. I got all the way to brown belt under the Rickson Gracie flag, but now I’m flying my own course. It allows me to redefine what I think ever belt represents and test that through my students and myself in training and competition. In the end I want to create problem solvers. A room full of people with deep understanding of Jiu Jitsu and who are willing to share that knowledge. I love the journey and I appreciate anyone who shares that path with me, no matter how long they decide to stay. Everyone is welcome at our school, no strings attached.
