"Damien Cordova really should not be promoting anyone to BB any earlier than June 2028. He has his own profile on Beltchecker (so tag him in your promotion history!), with info that he got his BB in June 2022 and hasn't even been formally promoted to 1:st degree BB yet, which is consistent with info I find elsewhere as well. Before BB, I'd recommend you add pics showing your years in BJJ prior to brown belt as well.)"
"I previously validated Wendy's brown belt, but will wait for evidence of a black belt promotion from a second degree black belt or higher to verify her black belt promotion. This is a standard not only by IBJJF but also throughout the community. My dispute is not meant to cast doubt her ability as a practitioner, which I have no knowledge of. JProblem is not what Wendy has or has not earned. Problem is you have not yet earned the right to give her that black belt by yourself, according to the standards of your very own lineage. Considering your teacher's teacher Yuki Nakai was promoted directly by the CBJJ/IBJJF, you can't have it both ways — both wanting to invalidate CBJJ/IBJJF analogue promotion criteria while also saying you have an actual valid BJJ lineage (which is what you would base your future right to promote BB:s on). Yuki himself has claimed in a recent interview that he has never been promoted in BJJ by an actual teacher of his, only by CBJJ/IBJJF. Really not obvious that all independent beltcheckers will recognize that as an actual lineage, but at least you yourself should act to preserve internal coherence in the matter by passing on and promoting according to CBJJ/IBJJF equivalent standards.

"I attended Wendy's promotion ceremony, and have trained along side her the past couple years while she earned her black belt. Chroma is setup for brown and black belt promotions to be done with the blessing of Yoshihiro Fujita (5th Degree Black Belt, in Yuki Najai's lineage, living in Japan, which is how IBJJF registration of rank is handled for the school).Frankly, I'm not sure what the point of beltchecker is if it's trying to enforce made-up, recent IBJJF requirements (like the second degree to promote, and the three year timing between degrees). JBlessing is not a thing. Either you were promoted by a 2:nd degree or higher (then you're a black belt) or you were not (and then you're not a black belt). Globetrotters were thrown out of IBJJF for less, but if Fujita steps in as formal promoting instructor to BB, chances are good getting verified through Beltchecker, as long as evidence is provided.
