Lifelong martial artist, began training Japanese Jujitsu in 1995 with Harold Howard and Judo with Carl Howard obtaining a brown belt in Judo while an undergraduate student at Michigan State University. In 1996 met Scott Han an instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto and CSW founder Erik Paulsen. Trained with catch wrestlers and MMA fighters Sam Wells, Pat Militich, Dan Severn, Rashad Evans, Noe Hernandez and many others over the years. Affiliated with the Machado Jiu Jitsu Organization Scott Han eventually promoted me to Blue belt in 2012, and then purple in 2017. Eventually switched schools to Magic BJJ full time in 2017 and in 2023 was Promoted to Brown belt. In March of 2025 with approval of Chris Heuter, I was promoted to Black Belt under 3rd Degree Black Belt Matthew Linsemier the owner and head instructor of Magic BJJ. I have been a martial artist for over 40 years and still feel like Im just starting to get the hang of this stuff. Just need another 40 or 50 years practice...
