BJJ blue belt. Originally from Northern ireland. Started training Japanese ju jitsu at 9, freestyle wrestling at 12 and judo at 13, eventually earning a 1st dan in judo in September 2014. I stopped regular training in martial arts when I went to university in England in September 2016, although eventually I started BJJ c. 8th January 2023. I earned my blue belt in BJJ in October 2023 as a result of training 6 times a week for 10 months and being a judo black belt already. In June 2024, I moved to Canada. and since this point my training has been less consistent, albeit ongoing. I trained at 1 gym for 6 months in June 2024, took a 6 month hiatus, and then have been training 4 times a week at another gym here in Quebec. I'm about to leave Canada to begin FIFO work in the mining industry; going forward I'm looking for a gym or academy I can become affiliated with and work at consistently on my off rotations.
