Bio
I wrestled Varsity for John Glenn High Freshman through Senior year and I have been training in self defense and Jiu Jitsu since 2006 when I first certified in MACP lvl 1. I have taught many students in the USAF as a SERE Specialist, Air Force Combatives Program instructor and Modern Army Combatives Program lvl 4 Master instructor. I finally decided to join an Academy in 2025 choosing Gracie Barra and later joining MFP Academy where I am currently a coach.

"No doubt - Legit"
"Far below the usual two year requirements for time in belt before purple (only five months!) and rushed up to blue from white in less than 5 months, despite as many losses as wins in competition. The Combatives diplomas really do not seem to equate to BJJ experience, based on the course documents published online. See https://www.beltchecker.com/forum.php?p=read&type=15&id=83288&selectedmenu=3 for more information and a chance to clarify."

"Rather short timeline on progression to purple. However, still a well-documented profile. Keep growing and keep proving yourself on and off the mats."
"You can find alot of "for public release" information about Manny. From being the NCOIC at Travis AFB to being a SEER instructor at Osan AB in Korea. Also articles wehre he started womans self defense course at Travis. All the information is available on old Travis AFB webpages and DVIDS. With my knowlege of SERE training and him being an instructor with his 20 plus years in martial arts and combatives. It is a YES for me! "
"I don't know Emanuel, but there seems to be enough evidence to verify rank. :)"
"Photo evidence"
"Enough evidence for me. Tons of teaching experience. Manny also clarified that he is wearing a purple belt with a red bar, which some affiliations use for non black belt instructors."
"Evidence is convincing"
"Looks good there are some pics so keep going "
