"Legit profile congrats on the black"
"Good documentation! Congrats on the promotion!! "
"Jake's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu progression complies with IBJJF minimums, with over five years at white belt before his 2019 blue promotion by TuKaha BJJ founder Pedro Pacheco Fernandes, and subsequent purple (2022), brown (2024), and black (2025) belts awarded by second-degree black belt Ricardo Castagna, head coach at Black Knights Jiu-Jitsu in Auckland. The academy website lists him as a dedicated brown belt coach, supporting his claimed rank up to brown, while his recent black belt aligns with requirements though not yet reflected in Smoothcomp records, which show blue since 2019 with no competitions logged. As of my Jan-12-2026 review, black belt looks good and this vote should put you over the top on vote points. Congratulations!"
"I don't know Jake, but there seems to be enough evidence to verify rank. :)"
"Legit. Instuctor was promoted to BB in 2017 by Pedro Fernandes https://www.bjjheroes.com/bjj-fighters/pedro-pacheco-fernandes. Jake also has excellent photo evidence to back up his own journey. Congrats on black belt!"
JSThank you brother!
