One of Professor Roy Dean's original Bend students and was promoted all the way through black belt by Roy. I was also the main uke in most of Roy's early instructional videos. I competed through purple belt but have mostly been a hobbyist since brown belt. I retired from the US Navy and had trained at several other academies while traveling or temporarily stationed at various locations. Academies I have routinely trained at include Victory MMA San Diego, Coronado BJJ San Diego(no longer active), and Gustavo Machado BJJ Virginia Beach.
