Any leg configuration can score back points
Back control points are awarded for demonstrating good alignment and dominant control on the back. Arm positioning is already irrelevant, leg positioning should be too. Double hooks to score is a completely arbitrary standard Body triangles, locked bottom side hooks, top side hip posts, and arm traps are just a few examples of valid and in some cases superior control methods which do not score. Points should be awarded based on secure attachment to the back alone, regardless of how you use your legs to secure it.
