Another virus topic, sorry! :D

Looks like most gyms are going to close down for a while. My own has been for 1.5 weeks already. What are you going to spend your time on instead?

I plan to take up tennis next week (live next to a tennis court) and might even find some time for surfing. School is closing on Monday, so will be a lot of time on the beach with the kids, I predict.

As for us here in Malaysia, things are getting worse but still manageable for now. Gym runs as usual. But if we have to close down the gym, i will do lot of instructional video study, studying more on game/techniques that i don’t really do.

My kids are on Spring Break,

I am going to spend time with them,

and in the evenings, drink booze.

Edit: Yeah, yeah, I am not that kind of coach...

While as of right now we are still open, if we decide to close I will be going towards increasing my strength training and restarting my yoga practice. Additionally, while I've only been able to do so when in the car I'll probably increase my Italian language practice.

If the gym will completely shut down? I'll just sit at home half naked and play video games. If only official classes are shut down? I'll lift weights, fully clothed.

My wife has been helping me train at home, and she's actually enjoying it.

She's always been reticent about learning because she was worried she would get hurt too easily, but she acquiesced to keep me out of the gym, lol.

There's now chatter about possibly joining me in class once this has run its course.

I'll train with my sons in my home gym and do my usual exercises.
Spend more time with my family.
Rest and heal up a shit ton of nagging injuries.

I have a gym on my property... wife and I will continue to train... family time... and work (life as a firefighter never halts)... I also collect baseball cards as a hobby, so I am sure I will tinker with that... stay safe everyone and this too shall pass!

For example,

Tonight it was Port and a very nice Hungarian sausage, or charcuterie if you prefer to swear in French.

Also, large green olives stuffed with raw garlic and jalapenos.

Jorgen, I must admit I not only stuffed my face,

I also hand fed my rather worthless dog,

Who was sitting perfectly at attention pretending as if she was normally dignified,

and stuffed her face with some sausage as well.

However, none of this is to say that I don't think your advice was well made.

But, I never found a moral inventory I liked as much as a bit of fat, salt, spice, and animal protein, and bit of something fermented, fortified, or distilled to go with it.

Goofy dog optional but recommended...

God I haven't played DnD since 88. Is it a free site?

Yep, all free: we use Discord for talking, then roll20 for dice rolls and maps. DnD Beyond is super handy for character sheets too, makes it very easy (as that does all the DnDmaths for you, in terms of working out initiative bonuses, spell DC saves, how many hit points you gain at the next level, all that stuff. :D

As people may know, I run games at camp whenever I'm there, That's what kicked off my online DnDing, as I wanted to keep playing with all the cool people I met from Globetrotters. <3

All our gyms are closed, for at least two weeks so I walk around in the woods with our dogs, maybe throw some take downs for them and lift some weights at home.

I will raise a glass with you, good sir. I believe we are in the same time zone, so it will ALMOST be like drinking together!

Play more guitar. Play some more guitar. Then drink a whiskey, and play MORE guitar.

Get a family D&D game going (my lovely bride, 15 yr old son, and 12 y r old daughter all play. I'm lucky!)

Heal my achy joints to the best of my Rheumatic abilities.

Shrimp in my sleep because I miss grappling.

Oh - and us coaches at Magic BJJ are going to clean and sanitize the heck out of the academy while it is closed. It's as good a time as any for that.

When gym is closed I’m going to spend my time coding and playing computer games and of course spend more time with my wife and kids. I have read that the virus don’t like alcohol so a sip of a good dark rum, like Zacapa will probably be a good course of action as well.

Spend more time at home with the wife and kids (they'll probably get bored of that quick and ask me when I can go back to the gym LOL), read, study BJJ and try not to go crazy.

Fortunately the You Tube Academy of BJJ is open 24/7 so ... In addition, bodyweight resistance training, stretching, walking/running alone in cold, creepy Finnish forests, reading, and smokin' outlaw fools in Red Dead Redemption 2.
