Of course, I believe CTE (brain injury) affects a wide variety of athletes.
However, this seems to me to be some bullshit.
What are we going to do, set precedents where every athlete who has taken a thump to the head and commits sex acts on minors gets to blame it on their athletic activities?
Of course, the case is not decided yet.
I would welcome the opinions of any criminal lawyers on the viability and challenges associated with insanity defenses,
and of any medical doctors specializing in neurology regarding the issues of CTE.

There has been way too many cases like this, and it s not the 16 year old's fault.
Lets hope they make an example out of him so these things can one day be thing of the part and stop

I have CTE from years of bare knuckle Lethwei.. I had 119 pro fights between Lethwei, Thai Boxing and MMA with 28 ko's by headbutt in Lethwei and this pisses me off no end.. Yes those of us suffering from CTE get forgetful, can have poor impulse control and get a little frustrated/angry that we have a hard time putting things together but I know of not a single case that someone became a sexual predator due to CTE..
I am sorry I have no forgiveness for sexual predators especially those in a position of power preying on minors.. If he is convicted and the need someone to flip the switch I am down for it
