There was an omoplata by Ryan Reynolds in Blade: Trinity but I can't find it.

There was BJJ in King Kong remake when Kong fought t-rex... I think Rorion was also the fight coordinator there?

Rigan Machado has quite a few movie small roles. Also in "Jiu Jitsu" but there's hardly any jiu jitsu in that movie :D

I vaguely remember a jiujitsu scramble in the first sherlock holmes movie "a game of shadows". Sherlock Holmes, in the books, is stated to have practiced "bartitsu" which is a mixture of martial arts practiced in the UK in those days and essentially jiujitsu and stickfighting.

A mix of the martial arts both Guy Ritchie and RDJ get used to do on regular basis.

Ritchie apparently was a BJJ pioneer, he learned from the gracies in Torrance. From what I heard in the Rasberry ape Podcast, he's the one responsible for Roger Gracie and Mauricio Gomes moving to the UK, and he helped them financially when they settled in London.

You can see Gina Carano lock in a triangle at the end of her fight with Michael Fassbender in Haywire: https://youtu.be/6oY0Ormzk7k He taps, which always makes me laugh. There's no tapping in murder!
Nice scene. Never heard about this movie before. Thanks.

My pleasure. It's a good movie IMO and was made long before Carano became the pariah in Hollywood that she is now.

There is an interesting use of a juji gatame (in a non-fight context) in the recommended thriller Green Room (2015).

John wick movies. I believe Keanu Reeves trained some BJJ to aid in the choreography of his action sequences for those movies.

Just saw Lethal Weapon 1, with a short sequence with BJJ coreographed by Rorion Gracie. Perhaps he just got very little time to train Mel Gibson and Gary Busey, but I must say that for a supposedly super lethal Hollywood ex special forces hero/villain matchup, it wasn't too impressive but rather sloppy at a less than blue belt level. But really fun to have BJJ in a film as early as 1987! Also referred to as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the credits, not Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

I recently watched the Extraction movies with Chris Hemsworth, and his hand-to-hand style is very MMA influenced. There are lots of good Sambo/Judo/BJJ throws, breaks, transitions too. The movies were also pretty fun for your basic, dumb action movie.
