Kit Dale and Craig Jones. There is no competition. So tongue in cheek, but solid stuff also. I mainly watched it for the jokes.

My favourite instructor is B Mac. Dude has a YT channel with jiu-jitsu gold as free content. His instructionals are great too. Gordon Ryan's mount stuff is straight off his mount series. :D

Kit Dale and...
I've never been as disappointed in an instructional than KD and Nic G "Conceptual jiu jitsu". Conceptual my ass. :(

(I like Craig Jones though)

I really enjoy the latest Videos from Craig Jones. I think his instructional style has really developed over time. I loved Systematic Submission Dilemmas, and almost everything that came after it. I'm not as big a fan of his earlier work.

I also really enjoy Garry Tonnon's work. I like how he often give live sparring exercises for his work to help integrate it in your game.

And finally, but Definitely not least, Vlad Koulikov's Videos are all great! One of the people where I really try to get everything he releases. I love how he blends Sambo, Judo and BJJ into a beautiful hybrid grappling style. He really takes the best of all three worlds. It doesn't matter what you're doing, Gi, Movie, Stand up, Groundwork, or submissions, he has something to teach you.

For all the whitebelts out there: Defensive BJJ Crash Course w/ Priit Mihkelson (useful timestamps in the comments) - https://www.youtube.com/w[...]C6uFGCCLRY
After this I started to have so much more fun on the mat (and last longer against everyone).

Executing running man → stick → running man against heavier and stronger opponents still makes me smile.

Yeah. Like I said, it a comedy first, instructional later. Haven't watched Kit Dale's other stuff, just the one with Jones.

I have watched way too many instructionals over the years, mostly concentrating on guys who's games compliment mine. Teachers who's videos that have stood out for me:

Fabio Gurgel
Saulo Ribeiro
Bernardo Faria
Braulio Estima
Caio Terra
Carlos Machado
Medes Brothers
Telles
Lachlan Giles
Priit
Tonnon
Wiltse

And a ton more I'm forgetting.

I’ve been enjoying
Rob Biernacki
Stephan Kesting
Neil Melanson
Mendes bros
Shawn Williams
Brian Glick
Shintaro Higashi

*bjj mental models. It sounds like they’ve built a nice community through their patreon subscriber community that ha great instruction but their podcast alone has helped me build a frame work on how I look at grappling and it has given me ideas on how to approach my training.

Most importantly Master Ken. I have won all my matches by restomping the groin

I think you can't go wrong with any of Craig Jones's recent stuff, Gordon Ryan or Garry Tonon's instructionals as well! Pretty much echoing previous points raised above.

Some other great instructionals that I have enjoyed over the years include: Mario Sperry's stuff back in the day, same with Matt Thornton' material. Mike Fowler and Reilly Bodycombe put out some great stuff a while back too...

More recently, I have really liked John Frankl's recent instructionals, Ryron and Rener's 32 Principles, Lachlan Giles, Paul Schreiner, Dave Camarillo and Eddie Cummings instructionals.

I haven't picked up any of his new stuff yet. Once I get moved and settled into my new house (and gym) I'll most likely get them. How do you like them so far?

I think they are great. A bit scattered into "techniques" BUT the true gold is the concepts and system that Ryan is dropping around them.

Sounds good. Even with his old DVD's I always felt that the concepts he went over stuck with me far more than the actual techniques. Thanks for the response.

I might have an addiction: bought 266 hours of content, studied about 2/3 (179 hours), 1/3 yet to be consumed (66 hours)

stood out for me:
Lachlan Giles; You can tell he spends time thinking about how to transmit knowledge
Xande Ribeiro; beyond techniques to body quality
Karel Pravev; smooth, depth
Wim Deputter; I love his focus on how things are supposed to feel, not just techniques, bucket list of people to train with.
Garry Tonon
Craig Jones : his latest - Get Off My Feet Gringo is so good for the leg lock game.

I also enjoy;
Henry Akins; trying to get inkling's into Rickson's old school game
Gordon Ryan; personality aside, great content
Danaher; long, but fantastic content

I really want to get Ryan Hall's series, but I need to finish my backlog first ^^

Yes! Vlad Koulikov has great stuff!

we have a sambo coach at our gym on mondays, and I love a lot of their approach. Russian tie ftw!

my initial answer above I forgot to mention all the cool series on the Grapplers Guide
Josh Hinger
Craig Jones
Musumeci
Brunovskis - Worm
Vladislav Koulikov - sambo for BJJ
Reily Bodycomb
JT Torres
Aaron Milam

there's so much content everywhere
so much depth
so many avenues to explore

ars longa, vita brevis

I absolutely love Vlad Koulikov's Grappler's Guide Sambo Class. The section on grip fighting alone is worth the price of membership. One of the most complete video classes I've seen on the subject. I'm honestly thinking about sitting out my yearly BJJ camp next year and taking a week long trip to Texas to train with him and the B-Team instead.

It's what inspired me to come up with the heuristic of pinning the 'far' hip in Renegade passing! https://youtu.be/d4-bgJOR7nI (Also the original background instrumental hiphop track for Terere study is one of my favourite 'start the warmup' for training songs https://youtu.be/q7WdGfQXpiI )
Terere was one of the first I tried to emulate to improve my game, way back when I was still athletic enough to try to maintain a high pace. I soon learned that I don't like to spend so much energy and chilled the fck down. Got my blue belt wearing the Terere Estilo Gi with the built-in rash guard. The whips felt like nothing. :D

BJJ Scout is awesome. Such a shame UFC messed his stuff up. They should've instead hired him as an analyst.

I've just started watching Modern 50 50
He explains concepts so well and I like that he adds in the applicability to mma as well

The analagies he makes are hilarious
if you go near a tiger you're likely to get eaten by a tiger. If you put your foot over here you're likely to get heel hooked. So don't put your foot there

I can't argue with the logic!
