Hi guys,
I have read the forums and see that even before I joined there was a "request for verification" button available that caused problems for some people.
Any advice on how to get verified if I am from a country that almost nobody uses belchecker, and if, non verified people.

Just update your profile with all the evidence you have. Competition pictures, pictures of your belt promotions etc. The more information you have, the more likely people will upvote a profile they do not know personally.

I am a blue belt training in Clube de Jiu Jitsu Pitbull Slovakia under Walmaro Medeiros de Sa (Black belt) under Adilson Bitta Lima (Red & Black belt).
My coach directly in Slovakia is Martin Minar (Black belt) under Walmaro Medeiros de Sa.
Both Walmaro and Prof. Lima train in United Arab Emirates but visit for our belt ceremonies.

The lack of registered users from Slovakia is sad but I am trying to invite my friends and people that I know from training.

Any pictures of those folks present while your belt is being tied on help.
Any signed certificates from them help.
If your instructor has a signed cert from his instructors
and if the website of his instructors "claim" him and his school as an affiliate,
that all helps.
Half the people here seem to hate the IBJJF, but if any of them are listed on the IBJJF website or are claimed by any major team that also helps speed things along.

Getting randomly nominated seems a bit difficult even with all the information filled out. I am not verified yet so I can't speak to what people look for when voting, but I'm not sure many people would randomly start combing profiles and just vote even if well documented without having some knowledge of the person. I have had a couple, but not nearly enough to get verified which would then allow me to start voting for people I know and others. but like BJJ... patience is a virtue... ;) Hang in there!

Well.. This post made me look at your profile, I see that you have competed as a Master 5 athlete (which I respect a lot), are currently coached by an instructor who is a 4-stripe black belt under Rickson Gracie & have earned your earlier belts from Royce, plus have a good amount of photos & social media links on your page. An easy vote from me despite not having a personal connection! (But mine is only worth +20 points anyway. :D)
Might be difficult to come from a region not yet well connected here and find the first willing to vote based on the strength of the profile, but some people do shuffle the "Unverified, completed profiles" for entertainment, or spot a profile from the front page vote history. And yeah, also writing something in the forums can help to get a few eyes to take a look at your profile.

It took awhile for me to get verified, and now that I am, I'm just frustrated that people I know haven't finished their profiles so I can vote for them. It's not as great as I was hoping verification would be.

I have the same problem here, with not many people I know on the platform yet. And most of the few I know on here are not verified either, so we can´t help eachother. But I trust this will spread here in Norway as well with time. In the meantime I´ll be waiting like the meme Christian posted xD

You seem pretty legit, I'd vote for you if I was verified. Went to the Black Knights Jiu-Jitsu web site and I think you are in some of the features pictures...
Just be happy you only need 200 points. I need 1000! I'm over half way there, so I can't complain. Didn't really do anything to get those votes other than pay all my info and some pics and videos.

Aw thanks mate. Yeah I'm in most of the photos on the Facebook and the website ❤️ I struggle to take nights off ! Haha my wife and son train there with me too!

I have had a few folks review mine. I'm not quite there yet but getting closer. Salute to those of you actively reviewing folks. This will be an amazing resource once more people get on here. I am encouraging all my students to create a profile.

I've tried to add people in my town but I think people are a bit frustrated with the overall process. I noticed the two guys in my town who are on here haven't logged in for a while. I'll continue trying but it would be nice to get verified so I can participate.
