I didn’t know they did patches.
They do custom ones bulk. I have used it couple of times. I think 30 is the minimum quantity? Reach out to their customer support to know more.
I mean Globetrotters do a LOT of patches for their own gis as camp gis have a lot of custom patches.

Must have been more than 10 years ago, but I bought good material at a textile and sewing store, preshrunk it by washing, divided it into the right size rectangles and sent it to the same printer that did our t-shirts. It was a lot of work, but they turned out really good. I guess it's easier to order smaller patches and perhaps embroidered than the large old style printed ones. The large ones are more difficult to sew on as well. Without making the patches mandatory (which I won't), most students will choose not to get them. Heck, I've been too lazy myself to sew them onto my last couple of gi:s!

We use BreakpointFC as you can buy the patches separately or have them put on the gi when ordering.

Have you ordered from them recently? Last time I ordered from them it felt like they were never going to actually ship. Now with the turmoil in the region.... been afraid to order more.

I design and have them locally made at a embroidery specialist. I'm in the part of the world where all this kind of stuff is made :)

Yeah ordered some a couple months ago. The turmoil in the region is still localized to Ukraine. We're planning a trip out there this summer as a matter of fact.

Thanks, I need to place another couple orders. They always seemed to be the most cost effective and they hold up amazingly well. Our academy patch is a little complicated to get embroidered. These are the last patches I ordered for a side project. Turned out pretty good.

Moldova is not Ukraine, I think you can be fairly sure they’re not being invaded the next few weeks and have their post offices bombed before they can ship a few patches to you :)

Last time it was during covid and their postal service got shut down. Had people squawking at me daily about patches they had pre-ordered. Guess lesson learned on that one, i'll just foot the bill next time. :)
