On that era every Gracie tryied to sale anything. I remeber the first VHS series of Rorion and Royce Gracie, very expensive and at the end Just 2 or 3 techniques per VHS, but at that time it was really helpfull....But so poor, like some Black belt seminars : two hours on the "baiana" then one standing open guard pass, and everyone just listened to the Black belt like blindman, as we where just blue belts. Nowadays those fraud are no longer on the BJJ world.

GM Lasu for sure ! That guy is a fucking legend ! He's the guy the Gracie's fear the most..... when Danaher made his winning team knows as the "dead squad" he has to ask Lasu permission before to be able to use that term.

From what I have heard; you ordered the 4 tape set for $400 and got the tapes with the certificates, etc. in the mail without any further requirements. Some fake karate guys have these hanging on their walls.

Google Books is a wonderful treasure trove for those kind of ads, as there are loads of old Black Belt Magazines fully uploaded and free on there. Very helpful for my research when I was working as a journalist for Jiu Jitsu Style magazine, particularly things like the letters page. E.g, Art Davie writing in to challenge all the other martial arts, shortly after the first UFC took place: https://books.google.co.u[...]mp;f=false
