if you meet these conditions:
1. Promotion picture with your Coach and/or Certification evidence on your belt
2. I understand not everyone has certificates awarded for each belt so training pictures with the corresponding belt rank in group class, competitions or similar (not solo) makes the mark for me
3. If the photo dates correspond with your claimed ranks and if you have any videos up on your profile so your movements can be observed
4. I don't care which affiliation you are with and no judgement call even if you are from a notorious affiliation. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't know when you signed up as a beginner
5. I lean more towards verifying Coaches and Black Belts as they need to verify their own students to on board them onto this platform and group they run
6. I don't think I missed anything so you don't have to DM or "Add Friend" me... just get your info up and I'll review
7. A reciprocal vote would be appreciated but not obligatory once you've got enough points

I add people as friends who I have rolled with. Sort of using this platform to build a network of connections as my job has me travel every now and then. So for me it's good to find gyms that have a good vibe. As jiu jitsu is helping me get outside of my usual social circle more.

I also will get the odd message asking for a vote.
When I ask them to check out my profile or at least my students profiles I get the "sorry I only vote for people I know or have trained with"
They are ok getting a strangers vote though. People are strange

I think everyone assumes when you get the votes needed for your belt. Then that's it. But I'm a believer of the more some one is voted for the stronger their credibility. However I only see this for coloured belts as soon as you are a BB. Then it's different in my opinion. Or it could be they only vote for people who have a bigger voting percentage. 🤷♂️

It should have a cap once the needed points are achieved.
Then people can just comment on your profile if they choose.
There is no point in accumulating more.

True, like what the kids profiles have? Where it hits the required amount and stops. Then if you vote after that. It just strengthens your legitimacy really. The more the community votes positively for your profile the better. Which I get is whole reason for this.

I vote on a profile I see as good enough documented. I'm strict and often I choose to not vote because I don't fint the profile good enough to recive my vote.
