Would changing earlier BB stripes to time-served reset the verification points?

I got all my three stripes put on at once by my instructor, so based on that, I was perhaps a 1:st and 2:nd degree BB for a couple of seconds before the third stripe was added. I've also heard long ago that we may put on stripes according to time. Also, when it still looked distant that our instructor would come to our part of the world again any time soon, we got formally approved for the stripes (which we never actually put on).

Not that it really would matter to anyone of sound mind, but it looks kind of messy in retrospect and I could just as well set the same date on degrees 1-3 (would reset verification points though) or time-served-stripes with a note (still possible on time-served-degrees?) that they are just time spaced placeholder stripe dates, while my instructor put on all three stripes at once at that later date. Would that reset the verification points? I suspect it might, as the (verified) third degree would then not have the two previous degrees verified under it and the transition might not go through at once.

I don’t think it would matter to me. As long as you’re a black belt and you’ve been training, it counts for me.

That said, 🍿.

The current 'time in rank' and eligibility for the next stripe is based on IBJJF/international standards (but there are none) so you can/should put in the stripe based on the time and space it out to not upset the system then put a note on why this happened along with the evidence to substantiate the promotions

I'm preeeeetty sure that changing them to "time served" will not trigger reverification. But honestly I coded that 4 years ago and it hasn't come up since then. Give it a shot! 😄

So basically could go either way? :-)

Think I'll hold on for now.

I don't see a need to change anything as things happened the way they did and it is not out of the ordinary where geographical separation exists between student and instructor. No big deal. Legit is legit

If you want to try to help me understand by what logic it would be needed, please check the discussions under my vote on this profile: https://www.beltchecker.c[...].php?id=27

I saw them.
The only thing that truly matters is your instructors validation of your promotion.

Who cares what anyone else thinks or says.

I'd be worried if your instructor says you aren't your current rank.

Remember black belt degrees in BJJ are basically about time. Time equates to experience I guess but thats about it.

Belts are silly and BJJ Police are sillier.

Just my opinion of course.

My coach received his first degree on here with time-serve and it did not trigger a reverification.
You coach has that stripe last though, without any of the already people verified stripes after it.
