I'll be in Portugal for a few weeks in July. Does anyone have any recommendations for a drop-in in Porto or Lisbon?

Hi Sean,
There are plenty of choices available in Portugal. Personally I've had positive experiences at Prof. João Santos' Gracie Lisboa
http://gracielisboa.com/ https://www.facebook.com/[...]cie.lisboa
https://maps.app.goo.gl/G[...]cAscx2Dew5
as they accommodate old people like myself and it's relatively easily accessible (metro and e-scooter or walk/ taxi cab)
I've been to Porto several times but didn't have the opportunity to drop into any gyms but I had shortlisted 2 places for my next visit:
In Porto city: Tribo Jiu Jitsu/Bpt Porto https://maps.app.goo.gl/6[...]QrsyBUsbKA
Out of the city: http://focusjiujitsuhq.com/ https://maps.app.goo.gl/P[...]iM7ivvhif9
Enjoy and send my regards to Prof. João if you roll there

Send him a heads up on FB before you drop by. He usually has a number of visitors at his academy at any one time

I don't have any jiu-jitsu recommendations but if you have time while in the area you should visit the Azores. One of the coolest places I have ever been. You can catch a flight right out of Lisbon.
Super cool place just to walk around.

While in Porto: Focus Jiu-jitsu Team is a great option with some of the most well known Portuguese competitors, like Pedro Ramalho.
While in Lisboa: Gracie Lisboa, great atmosphere and tough rounds, I visit regularly and Prof. João is amazing, both technically and as a person.
^ as said above, amazing options.
If you cross the bridge to visit Almada/ Arrábida/ Costa da Caparica (some of the best beaches in Portugal) you're more than welcome to drop in at the academy I train at: Rubik Jiu-Jitsu Team

Great choice!
Sao Miguel (pictured) is a beautiful spot. All of the islands in the Azores are fantastic.
I used to live in the Azores (two years on Terceira Island) while stationed at Lajes Field.
Been back at least 9-10 times. My wifes family has a home there on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
We try to get out there as often as we can.
They also have BJJ on Sao Miguel and Terceira. (Taught in Terceira)

I stayed for a month in both Porto and Lisboa last year and trained at these clubs, both of which I'd recommend:
