Black belt 5th degreeVerified

Tomorrow, I promote, what is probably my last, direct, front line promotion of a student, to black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
Now, it is up to you (all).
It always was.
I am proud and confident, in the next generation(s).

Are you hanging up your belt?
Not exactly.
The newer black belts under my lineage have schools, or are helping to teach classes at those schools.
The e-sports team at the university where I work may prove me a liar, as they have requested training for their off season.
I still will train any emergency responders, that need training, no charge, as I have done, upon request.
One of them is a purple belt, with some promise, so he could be an exception - if he continues training with me, and is consistent about it.
I have a son that loves wrestling, and also trains Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.
And another son that does not love it, per se, but also trains.
However, I usually recuse myself from direct relative promotions, if possible.
I am sure that I will get called for this or that.
But, at a certain point, you make a point to fade back, in a series of fades, to lesser roles.
It's part of the life cycle.
