I've been drilling my Judo throws with a throwing dummy in the park for about an hour a day. This keeps up, I might wind up getting my Judo Black Belt in record time. :D

Other than that, My wife and I have been making a point to eat in restaurant as long as we still can and also trying to get out as much as we can. There's been talk of implementing a curfew in Cologne, so we want to enjoy the time outside as much as possible.

Are there different brands of dummies? I only use resistance bands at the moment.

I swing a kettlebell, I pull myself up a bar and off the ground, I do hippie yoga, I dance, I bake bread, I drink the wine, I talk to my significant other... Pretty good times.

Hi,

I've personally taken advantage of the offers from a number of the world's elite BJJ guys (like Bernardo Faria, Keenan Cornelius, Caio Terra and John Danaher) - and of course all the amazing, always free Globetrotter's video instruction content!- to provide some of their online training material to us at no cost. As it turned out, I attended a 2 session BJJ clinic on the 9.-10.3, just before the training ban hit, by 6th degree blackbelt Octavio Couto in Helsinki at the Crest Fighting Center and organised by their head coach by my namesake, blackbelt Jyri Manninen. So, with their blessings, I created 3 videos (for a total of about 1.5 hours of instruction) from that clinic. I hope it gives you guys something additional to make the time off the tatami pass by just a little more easily.

Cheers,
Jyri

Good you guys have plenty of time! At the moment I either am on duty or caring for the kids before/after duty, as all schools and kindergarten is closed.
Luckily I can squeeze in some bwe exercises and hitting the heavybag.....
When I have a little „me“ time, I try to watch some bjj instructional footage or vote for Beltchecker members!
Greetings,
Mirco

I was planning to teach a Functional Isometrics for BJJ seminar at the Estonia BJJ Globetrotters Camp.
Might just shoot it myself, and put in on the interwebs.

I've got a power rack in the house so lift some weights I guess, maybe try some yoga and let a few niggles heal up. I'll actually still be at work as I work in a hospital, and have a 3 and 6 year old that will keep me busy at home!

I've also been filling out my competiton record as best I can remember on here and looking through pending profiles to see if there's any people I recognise.

Well...gym is closed for two weeks at least. So i'm going to fall back on my secondary hobby of Spearfishing. Social distancing and all that.

Another virus topic, sorry! :D Looks like most gyms are going to close down for a while. My own has been for 1.5 weeks already. What are you going to spend your time on instead? I plan to take up tennis next week (live next to a tennis court) and might even find some time for surfing. School is closing on Monday, so will be a lot of time on the beach with the kids, I predict.
I’m more than likely going to up there cardio and body weight workouts.

With all the free instructionals that are being given away, I've downloaded around 12 different ones. I've been binge watching them and hoping by the time it's safe to train again that I'll remember any of the techniques I've watched.

Yeah, I try to look at videos. And, they work but you always need that live situational rolling. However, you do learn options from the videos.
