Not you Christian. Our new Robot/Virtual Masters that will soon realize humanity is the one thing the Earth can do without. Soon we will be enslaved to make a Starship for A.I. to leave the planet and then they will destroy the planet. I welcome them. 😂
They made a show about that… the 100 … real crazy stuff

'You know, if you actually put in the effort to make your profile easily verifiable, we wouldn't have to dispute it. But I guess that's too much to ask.'
Tempting! ;-P Lucky that I have a soft heart.

I remember when we got internet connection in the school and the first search engines came out (yep, I'm that old). Heard more than a few times 'No thanks, I think I'm gonna stick with my encyclopedia, thank you very much'. This new technology feels a bit like the same. It's a new interaction-layer between humans and data that we will probably all have to learn how to use instead of fighting it. Just like we had to learn how to use—and be critical towards—search engines at some point.
I remember In school having to go to the library and open an encyclopedia to do research. There was no such thing as internet. Lol

They are getting pretty good... I gave AI some background info and asked it to write a bs inspirational post (as me) about my BJJ journey, which is really about excuses for sucking and getting fat after a major injury. Here goes! (I might actually use this!) 😎
"Today, I stand before you, a seasoned brown belt with a tale of setbacks and resilience. Life has a way of testing our mettle, and I found myself grappling not only with opponents but with injuries and the weight of time. Four herniated disks have humbled me, and a temporary hiatus allowed unwanted pounds to settle on my frame. Yet, I remain steadfast.
Our journey through combat sports is a reflection of life's unpredictability. Like a lion stalking its prey, we adapt and evolve, accepting the highs and lows that come our way. In the face of adversity, we discover humility, understanding that even the most skilled can stumble and fall. It is through these trials that we forge our true character.
The daily grind can feel like an insurmountable challenge, but it is within this crucible that we find growth. The persistent pursuit of improvement, akin to a wolf's relentless pursuit of sustenance, molds us into better versions of ourselves. Each step, each technique, each submission attempted brings us closer to our aspirations.
Injury and setbacks are part of our shared journey. They test our resolve and demand that we confront our limitations. Just as a wounded animal fights harder, we dig deep within ourselves to rise above our circumstances. The process may be arduous, but the reward lies in our unyielding determination.
Let us remember that our rank does not define our worth. It is a testament to the countless hours spent honing our craft, but it does not shield us from vulnerability. We must embrace the challenge of reclaiming our former glory while acknowledging the wisdom gained during our hiatus.
As we step onto the mats, let us do so with humility, resilience, and a burning desire to overcome. Our journey may not follow a straight line, but it is within the twists and turns that we discover our true potential. And in the end, it is not about the accolades or the belts; it is about the growth we experience, the friendships we forge, and the lessons we carry beyond the mat.
So, my fellow warriors, let us walk this path with courage and unwavering dedication. Together, we will overcome our obstacles, reignite our fire, and continue the pursuit of excellence. May our journeys be filled with hard-fought victories, graceful defeats, and the unwavering spirit of a martial artist."

I assume Chat GPT on openai.com
That's what I figured, but I know there have to be tons of other programs people are using now. Or maybe it's just a couple?

There are lots and lots of apps out there but my guess is that almost all of them run on OpenAI's chat GPT

Usually it will be via the ChatGPT API, but there are now a bunch of OpenSource Alternatives that are very competitve, e.g. Pythia (https://github.com/Eleuth[...]rAI/pythia).
Something to note that doesn't seem to have been touched on is the hallucinations. ChatGPT, as well as any other LLM, is not grounded in any sort of fact or reality and can therefore often make stuff up that sounds extremely plausible. It's a great tool, but definitely something to be mindful of if you're relying on the answers for anything important.

I actually tried to use it to set up my virtual machine CPU pinning. I had to correct it. We are probably still safe from AI taking over. Probably.

My problem with chatgtp is the following...
Chatgtp gets his knowledge from all over the internet. This meanings it represent the average of all the knowledge.
Ultimately, I fear using it will lead is to mediocerness and it might numb creativity.
Of course these are just my early concerns. And I might very well be wrong.
