I began my jiu-jitsu journey with Jerry Brewer in West Ashley during the summer of 2004. In 2007 I was stationed in New England where I hopped around academies and gyms in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut between deployments until 2011. For the next year I trained at the University of South Carolina with the Carolina Jiu-Jitsu and Judo club until I found my home gym with Guybson Sa and SAS Team.
