Bio

Practicing BJJ since 2002 or 2003. Started with a Gracie Humaitá/JKD school, which became GB maybe around 2006. Blue, purple and brown under Tim Shears in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Received most of my brown belt stripes at Evolve MMA in Singapore under Gordinho. Stopped for 3 years due to burn-out and injuries, started training again in 2016 and received my BB from Chance Wanlass (Chris Haueter and Rigan Machado BB) at the end of 2018. I currently train in Singapore at SG Submission Grappling under Coach Chance Wanlass and Dave Ooi, at FaMa under Zoro Moreira and more often Thiago Gaspary, both Gordo BB's. I know Robyn Goudy there, but since he mostly teaches evening classes I don't get the chance to train with him as much as I'd like, but he's been kind enough to corner me during recent comps.

Haven't been on here for a while...but that would have been the basement days on W Broadway and Burrard under GB I think. Don't remember a Will but that was a busy school. I'd probably recognize the face...maybe.

No it was around 2006 or 2007

I don’t remember him but I’m terrible with names. Was this during the Gracie Humaita days under Megaton? Early 2000’s?

Singapore Wrestling Inter-club meet, mens advanced grappling u62kg

Somehow ended up with silver in open weight advanced.

Training at Paraestra Tokyo.

Open weight adult silver. I won the first round, got subbed in the second, and lost the third by...disqualification. Opps. Probably should have read the rules pdf.

Fortunate to win gold at Dumau in the -70kg blackbelt masters.

Standing on a podium after getting mostly smashed in the -75kg adult advanced bracket. I did weigh in at 58.9kg so there's that.

Getting my blackbelt from Chris Haueter blackbelt Chance Wanlass.

Gracie Barra Vancouver, circa 2004 or 05 maybe. I think it was a Carlinhos seminar.

Honestly no idea of the actual date. Probably 2.5 to 3 years of training.

Pretty sure it was 2002, or maybe 2003. It's been a while.
